Wednesday Study Club welcomes Rosebud High School graduates

When you start to see bluebonnets blooming and it is the first Saturday in April, then Rosebud High School graduates know that The Golden Years Reunion is about to take place.  

This year’s 44th Annual Golden Years Reunion will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at St. Anne’s Center with registration beginning at 11 a.m.. At 2 p.m. there will be a business meeting, presentation of the Distinguished Alumnus Award, and Recognition of Classes.  

A catered meal will begin about 3 p.m.  Over 200 former Rosebud High School graduates and guests have registered to attend.

Morning events include an open house at the Memorial Hall of the D Brown Library hosted by the Wednesday Study Club from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m.  Members will be available to show graduates various albums that have been created for various memorabilia.  

In the past few years Mary Ann Mitchell, WSC Historian, has created a One Act Play album, several football albums, and an album devoted entirely to Mary Lee and Bryon Stubbs.  

WSC member Diane Pagel, created a number of World War II albums that visitors have been able to view friends and family members who served in the armed forces.  Class pictures of all graduates that adorn the walls of the Memorial Hall and scrapbooks that Mrs. Stubbs created for each class along with yearbooks are  available to view as well.

An open house is also being held across the street from the D Brown Library at Preservation Rosebud from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m.  Visitors will be able to walk down memory lane in “old town” Rosebud through the numerous displays that Preservation Rosebud members have created.  

What a wonderful time of the year for long-time friends and graduates of Rosebud High School to once again gather and reminiscence about the “good ole days” at RHS.
