Eugene A. Niekamp passed away Wed November 7, 2018 at the age of 85. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. November 13 at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home 5725 Colleyville Blvd. Colleyville, Texas 76034. Funeral: 10 a.m. November 14 also at Bluebonnet Hills. Burial: 3:30 p.m. November 14 Sacred Heart Cemetery in Lott, Texas. Gene was born in 1933. He graduated from Lott High School in 1950, served as a Corporal and an acting Sergeant in the U.S. Army from 1953-1955 andretired from Bell Helicopter after 30 years of service. He enjoyed playing the mandolin and guitar; and was known around town for his black hat.Survivors: He is survived by his wife Emma of 63 years, his 5 children and their spouses, 3 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and 1 brother.
