Cougars play in Thrall Tournament
The Rosebud-Lott Cougars baseball team participated in an in-season tournament hosted by Thrall during the weekend of March 6-8. The Cougars finished the weekend with a record of 1-2-1.
The Cougars played two games on Thursday, the first was against the Clifton Cubs. The teams finished that offensive thriller with a 7-7 tie.
Their second game was a matchup with the Valley Mills Eagles. The Cougars shut out Valley Mills, winning 3-0.
The Cougars played two games on Friday, the first game was against the Leander Rouse Raiders JV team. Rosebud-Lott was defeated by Rouse, losing 4-3. The final game of the tournament was against the Crawford Pirates. The Cougars fell to Crawford, losing 5-3.
Rosebud-Lott started district play at home on Monday, March 10, against the Thorndale Bulldogs. The Cougars were defeated by Thorndale, losing 7-3. With this loss, Rosebud-Lott has a record of 6-5-1 and a district record of 0-1.
After playing the Bremond Tigers on the road Tuesday, the Cougars will host the Chilton Pirates. The game will be Tuesday, March 18, and is scheduled for 7 p.m.
