Cougars season ends in loss to Johnson City
The Rosebud-Lott Cougars baseball team traveled to Thrall High School on Friday April 11 to take on the Johnson City Eagles in the bi-district round of the playoffs. The Cougars were shut out by the Eagles, losing 3-0 to bring their season to an end. Rosebud-Lott put up a tremendous fight, but fell short in the low scoring game. Johnson City scored one run in the first inning, one in the fourth inning, and one in the fifth inning to win 3-0.
Bo McGinniss started the game on the mound for Rosebud-Lott. He surrendered two hits and three runs (two earned) over five innings, striking out eight and walking three. With this loss, Rosebud-Lott finishes their season with an overall record of 17-10-1 and a district record of 9-3. Congratulations to the Rosebud-Lott Cougars on a terrific season and a playoff appearance.
