D. Brown Library Temporarily Closing for new Bathroom Renovations

The D. Brown Library in Rosebud will be closed July 28 and 29 to continue the complete renovation of its bathrooms — the first update to the library’s facilities in 75 years.

Ground was broken for the construction of the library in late September of 1948.

It was constructed using funds from C.F. Brown as a memorial for his wife, who it is named after. The cornerstone laying ceremony and grand opening was held June 28, 1949.

The long-awaited project is being funded by a generous anonymous donor. Library staff thank the community for their patience during the brief closure and look forward to unveiling the modernized facilities soon.
