Preservation Rosebud Prepares for Rosebud-Lott 50+ Reunion Reception
Preservation Rosebud is gearing up for one of the town’s most anticipated summer traditions: the Rosebud-Lott 50+ Reunion reception. The group will hold its quarterly meeting on Thursday, July 31, at 7:00 p.m. at the Rosebud Museum, with snacks and social time beginning at 6:30 p.m. Final plans for the third annual reunion reception will be on the agenda, as members prepare to welcome alumni from near and far.
To ready the museum for visitors, a community workday is scheduled for Friday, August 1, starting at 9:00 a.m. Volunteers will help spruce up the space and ensure everything is in place for Saturday’s festivities.
The reunion reception will take place on Saturday, August 2, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the museum, located at 117 N. 2nd St. This warm and welcoming event offers returning Rosebud-Lott alumni a chance to reconnect, enjoy refreshments, and explore local history.
Launched in 2023 by Preservation Rosebud, the reception has quickly become a beloved reunion tradition, providing travelers with a cozy place to gather before the official events begin at St. Anne’s Center.
This year’s reception promises a few new touches, including the addition of a vintage settee in the museum’s display area, a favorite photo spot for alumni looking to share memories on social media. Alumni from the Classes of 1973 and 1974, who have supported previous reunions, will notice these enhancements, while the Class of 1975 will be celebrated as the 2025 honor class.
Preservation Rosebud President Les Heugatter encourages all returning alumni to stop by: “Stop by Preservation Rosebud and be amazed,” he said in a special message of welcome.
For those attending the reunion weekend, the museum reception is more than just a gathering - it’s a heartfelt homecoming and a reminder of the community’s rich history and enduring connections.
