Roaring Cougar Band Advances to Area

The Riesel High School Cougar Band hit all the right notes at their regional competition Wednesday, Oct. 15, earning straight Division 1 ratings and securing a spot at the upcoming Area D Marching Con- test.

Performing at Riesel High School, the band impressed judges and spectators alike with their precision, musicality, and energy on the field. The superior ratings mark a significant achievement and move the group one step closer to the State Marching Competition.

Band directors and students celebrated the results, proud of the progress they’ve made this season. “These students brought their A game,” the band staff shared, noting that the group continues to improve with every performance.

The band also performed well at the Academy Marching Invitational Saturday, taking third place overall.

The Cougar Band will perform again on Saturday, October 25, at the Area D Marching Contest, where they’ll compete for a coveted place at state. Supporters are encouraged to attend and cheer on the band as they continue their outstanding season.
