Crown of Thorns

The mother of Franklin Graham, Ruth Bell Graham, for the most part was bedridden during the last months of her life. She had a crown of thorns that hung in her bedroom. When her pain became great, she would turn herself so that she could have the crown of thorns in view. She said it reminded her of the pain and suffering her Savior willingly endured for her sake. He was mocked and spat on by those He came to save. He was stripped, beaten, tortured and publicly executed on a Roman cross. But as Christians, we owe our salvation to the fact that it didn’t end there. God raised Him to life again on the third day in victory over sin and death!

Hallelujah! No matter what you’re going through today, may you be reminded of the crown of thorns and that God loves you so much that He sent His only Son, Jesus Christ to pay the price for your sins and mine. The Bible tells us that “The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life, through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 3:23) Now that’s GOOD NEWS worth sharing.

Happy Easter to each and everyone.
