BELLE ZORIA THOMPSON JONES
NOVEMBER 1, 1946 - FEBRUARY 5, 2026
Our beloved Belle Zoria Thompson Jones was born November 1, 1946 to Tom and Addie Lee Thompson of Milam County. She passed away at her home on Thursday, February 5th, surrounded by her closest family members.
Belle attended Wilson White School in Rosebud. She loved caring for others and worked tirelessly as a Licensed Vocational Nurse for 50 years. Belle Worked for Halbert Hospital until its closure in 1988. She also worked for the Heritage House Nursing and Rehab Center until retirement.
Doulas, parents, six brothers, two sisters and her eldest son Patrick Wallace preceded her in death. Her memory and beautiful life will forever be cherished by her devoted husband of 51 years, James Lee Jones, son, Michael Jones (Jessi) of Nolanville; her daughter, Janice “Missy” Whitfield (Keith) of Rosebud; son, James D. Jones (Tameka) of Temple and daughter-inlaw Kavey Wallace of Rosebud.
Her legacy will live on through her thirteen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, five sisters-inlaw, four brothers-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Mrs. Jones’ Visitation will be Friday, February 13 from 6-8 at Cook-Gerngross- Green-Patterson Home, 111 South 2nd Street, Rosebud and her Funeral Service will be Saturday, February 14 at 11:00, First Baptist Church Rosebud - 111 W. Main St Rosebud.
