Billie Sue Reubin, 74, of Gatesville, died Thursday, November 12, 2020, at her residence. Private family services were held.
Sue was born in Rosebud on May 18, 1946 to J.L. (Boy) and Rosalie Polk Herring. She graduated from Rosebud High School in 1964. She worked for the Coryell County Tax Office for 25 years and retired in 2009. She married Donald Reubin on February 15, 1969 at the Travis Baptist Church in Travis, Texas. They were married for 51 years. Sue and Don moved to Gatesville in 1972. Their son, Dwight Wade Reubin was born in 1975. In February of 2000, Sue and Don welcomed their one and only granddaughter, Chevy Cheyenne Reubin-Atterbury. That little girl had their heart from the time they laid eyes on her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Jesse Herring and sister in law, Mary Joe Moncrief Herring.
Survivors include her husband Donald Reubin of Gatesville, son, Dwight Wade Reubin of Gatesville, granddaughter, Chevy Cheyenne Reubin-Atterbury and husband Trystan James Atterbury of Gatesville, sister, Bobbie Sampson of Rosebud, 5 nieces and 5 nephews, and all of Gatesville.
Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud is in charge of arrangements.
