Daniel Wayne Sampson

Daniel Wayne Sampson was born Aug. 22,1967, and passed away on Oct. 22, 2022.

Visitation and memorial services are to be held at New Salem Baptist Church of Rosebud on Nov. 19, 2022, starting at 10 a.m. 

Mr. Sampson passed away on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022, at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple, surrounded by his loving family.

Daniel is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Karrissa and Jeremy Peterson of Dallas; three sons, Dalton and Ethan Sampson of Rosebud, and Patrick Sampson of Travis; ex-wife, Carol Sampson of Teague; mother, Barbara Sampson of Rosebud; grandson, Sawyer Peterson of Dallas; brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Toi Sampson of Covington; sister, Tany Nutt of Rosebud; sister and brother-in-law, Amanda and Lowell Scott of Rosebud; aunt, Elsie Calhoun of Weatherford; aunt, Jean Fewell of Fort Worth; uncle and aunt Pat and Vickie Herring of Rosebud; and multiple nieces and nephews of Rosebud, Dallas, Forth Worth and Teague.

Daniel was preceded in death by his father, John E. Sampson of Morgan; grandparents, Boyd and Roselie Herring of Rosebud and Edwin E. and Amanda Sampson of Weatherford; several aunts and uncles; as well as, his brother-in-law, Robert Nutt of Rosebud.
