Earl Arlin Thrasher Jr.

Earl Arlin Thrasher Jr., 60, of La Porte passed away on Saturday, March 13, at Clear Lake Regional Hospital

Services for Mr. Thrasher will be on Saturday, April 10, at 11 a.m. at New Salem Baptist Church in Rosebud with Pastor Donald Fulton officiating. Interment will be in Powers Chapel Cemetery.

He was born on March 18, 1960, in Baytown to Earl Arlin Thrasher Sr. and Mary Evelyn Burns. He married Deloris Gross on July 25, 1997 in Harris County. 

Earl grew up in Rosebud, graduating from Rosebud-Lott in 1978. He moved to the Houston area and worked in Operations at Magellan for 42 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Arlin Thrasher Sr. and Mary Evelyn Burns.

He is survived by his wife Deloris Gross Thrasher; son, Trey Thrasher; daughters, Amanda Stringer and Jack, Ashlee Cruz and Freddie, Andrea Fittge, and Elicia Breton and Rob, all from the La Porte area; sister, Karen Thrasher Blackman of Jewett; and eight grandchildren.
