Edward John Zavodny

Edward John Zavodny, age 86 of Zabcikville, died Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at his home. He was born Nov. 29, 1935, near Zabcikville to Ed and Mary (Macek) Zavodny.

Edward proudly served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. He was a lifelong farmer. He enjoyed fishing and listening to Czech music.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his sister, Mary Ann Niekamp of Temple; his nephew, Steven Niekamp and wife Brenda of Wylie; two great-nieces, and one great-nephew.

Rosary was recited on Monday, June 20, 2022, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Cyclone immediately followed by The Mass of Christian Burial with Father Ranjan Cletus officiating. Burial followeed at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
