Gary Plasek

Gary Plasek, 68, of Anaheim, CA, formerly of Rosebud, died Thursday, October 13, 2016, in Austin. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday in Cook-Gerngross-Green- Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud. Rev. Don Fulton officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery in Rosebud. Mr. Plasek was born December 28, 1947 in Cameron to John and Hazel McElwrath Plasek. He graduated from Rosebud High School in 1966 and received a B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin. He retired after 32 years with Mercury Insurance Company in Brea, California. He is survived by one sister, Marilyn Wedemeyer and husband Paul, and one brother, Wayne Plasek both of Los Angeles, CA. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, Preservation Rosebud, Woodland Cemetery Association, or Willing Workers Cemetery, all in Rosebud. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
