James Good

James Good, 74, of Rosebud, died Wednesday, April 28, 2021, at a Temple hospital. 

Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 3, in Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud. Rev. Don Fulton will officiate. Burial followed in Powers Chapel Cemetery near Rosebud.

Mr. Good was born in Rosebud on June 6, 1946, to Carl and Omie McIntosh Good. He graduated from Lott High School in 1964 and married Linda Moore on May 19, 1967. He served in the US Army in Vietnam. He worked for Alcoa Aluminum in Rockdale for 30 years.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Good of Rosebud; one son, David Good and wife Donna of Mexia; one  daughter, Cindy Slovacek and husband Jeff of  Rosebud; two sisters, Patsy Hazelip and Ruth Ann Springfield, both of Cedar Springs; 11 grandchildren; and  17 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Powers Chapel Cemetery Association.                 

Visitation was held  from 3-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
