Joseph Lee Rogers

On July 5, 2019, Joseph Lee Rogers passed away after a long illness at Seton Medical Center Harker Heights. 

Joseph was born in Marlin, Texas in 1956, where he attended Booker T. Washington until junior high. He went on to graduate from Marlin High. Joseph enjoyed listening to music, playing his guitar and spending time with his family and friends and the community.

Joseph is survived by his parents, Eddie and Bernice Rogers; and nine siblings, Eddie Earl, Bobbie, Bettie, Doris, Rickey, Stevie, Ronnie, Vickey and Kevin. 

Joseph was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Travis and Sally Price; paternal grandparents, Jim and Queen Rogers; brother, James Rogers; brother-in-law, Chester Lawrence; nephews, Malcolm X Moore and Carman Latchey and great-niece, Genesis Jackson.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2019, at 11 a.m. at the Robertson Funeral Home Chapel, Marlin, Texas. Interment at Peaceful Rest Memorial Cemetery. Viewing will be held Friday, July 19, 2019, at Robertson Funeral Chapel, Marlin, Texas from noon to 5 p.m.

The family invites all Joseph’s friends to come and celebrate his life with them, and request that al flowers and cards be sent to Robertson Funeral Home.
