Judy Gottschalk

Judy Ann Gottschalk, 71, of Midlothian passed away on January 5, 2017, at her residence. Services were held at 3:00 p.m. Monday at the Church of the Visitation in Westphalia. Rev. Edwin Kagoo offciating. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Westphalia.Judy was born on January 22, 1945 in Dallas to Percy and Naomi Armstrong. She grew up in Dallas and graduated from Sunset High School and East Texas State University. Judy met her future spouse, Ron W. Gottschalk, while looking for a parttime job. They were married on April 24, 1982. Judy’s passions included church activities, camping and quilting. Not only was she an accomplished quilter, she was the past president of the Peacemakers Quilting Club in Duncanville, Texas. Many of her quilts were donated to charitable organizations. Judy retired from the United States Treasury Department which included working in the Internal Revenue Service enforcement department.Judy is survived by her husband, Ron W. Gottschalk, Son and daughter in law, John and Dawn Martin, mother in law, and numerous grandchildren and extended family.Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud is in charge of arrangements.
