Mrs. Mary Farmer

Mrs. Mary Farmer, 84, of Marlin, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2019 in Gilmer, Texas. Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. February 22, 2019 at Adam Funeral Home in Marlin. Family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Thursday February 21 at Adams Funeral Home.

Mrs. Farmer was born June 7, 1934 in Newton, Mississippi to Karl and Bessie Nelson. She attended High School in Levelland Texas. She met and married T.L. “Bud” Farmer and they were married on June 29, 1963. Mary Loved to knit, play crocket and bowling. She was a lifelong member and Sunday school teacher in the Baptist church.

Mrs. Mary Farmer was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Melvin Nelson; her sister’s Agnes Smith, Marjorie Spiegel, Ursula Nelson; and her son Gregory N. Smith.

She leaves behind her husband T.L. “Bud” Farmer; son Ronald T. Smith; Grandchildren Tracy Hunn, Amy Gough, Bryan Smith; her Great grandchildren Blake Hunn, Colton Hunn, Alyssa Gough, Kassie Gough, Kaylee Gough, Nathan Smith, Madison Smith; and her brother-in-law Joe Farmer and wife Berinda; as well as many nieces and nephews.
