Norma Mae McIntosh

Norma Mae McIntosh, a lifetime Texas resident, passed from this life and into the everlasting loving arms of her Lord and Savior on July 6, 2019.

Visitation will be at the Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud, Texas, on Tuesday, July 9, from 6-8 p.m. Services will be at the funeral home on July 10 at 11 a.m. with graveside ceremony following at Powers Chapel Cemetery.

Norma blessed the world with her presence Jan. 2, 1936, to Floy and Orbie Lindsay in Chilton, Texas.

Loved by many, Norma will be remembered for her quick-wit and passion for life. She excelled in music vocally and graced the stage on different occasions with country music greats Johnny Gimble and Bob Wills. In later years Norma was the member of a small gospel band who performed at various local church. Norma had a flair for creative writing, and recently became a published author.

Always driven and hard-working, Norma worked as a secretary for the Falls County 82nd District Judge (1950s) and later the Rosebud News. Norma remained active within her community until the deterioration of her health. 

Those left to remember her fondly and cherish her memory are: daughter, Debbie Roppolo and son-in-law John Roppolo of San Marcos, Texas; sister-in-law, Laura Lindsay of Robinson; grandchildren, Jonathan Roppolo and Joseph Roppolo of San Marcos, Texas.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; son, Timothy Wayne; and brother, Bennie Wayne.
