Pinky Ann Tacker Erskine Dunburg

Our beloved mother, Pinky Ann Tacker Erskine Dunburg passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on June 24, 2022, in Belton. Ann was born Aug. 30, 1939, to Albert Millard Tacker and Ida Zost in Marlin.

Ann married Carl T. Erskine Sr and settled in Stranger, where they had two sons Carl T. Erskine Jr and David W. Erskine. Ann worked at Vogel Sewing Co. for many years then married William Henry Dunburg in Nov. 1986 and they traveled all over the USA together. They settled down in Rye, where Ann opened a restaurant and ran it for many years. She was a very hard worker and had various jobs throughout her lifetime. William passed in 2014 and Ann then moved to Belton in 2018. 

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Dunburg; and her brother, Albert Tacker.

She is survived by her son, Carl T. Erskine Jr. and wife Joye of Hubbard; son, David Erskine and wife Leta of Rosebud; her brother, Charles (Butch) Tacker and wife Sue of Lott; grandchildren, Jaimee and Michael Passini of Celina, Sierra and Stephen Lenior of Groesbeck, Mackenzie Erskine of Kingsland, and Morgan Mendoza of Marquez; as well as eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation/memorial will be at Adams Funeral Home in Marlin on July 1, 2022, from 5-7 p.m. Ann’s wishes were to donate her body to UT Science Institute in Dallas. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St Jude Children’s Research Center.
