Roy Gaston Beckner

Roy Gaston Beckner, 80, of Lott, died Sunday, April 9, 2017, in a Waco Nursing Facility. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday in Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud. Rev. Don Fulton officiating. Burial will follow in Clover Hill Cemetery in Lott. Mr. Beckner was born November 17, 1936 in Energy, Texas to Henry Clarence and Maudie Minerva George Beckner. He lived in Lott since 1968. He married Katherine Brown on September 7, 1957.  He worked as a truck driver for Merit Distribution and Connors Crushed Stone. His wife, one daughter, Belinda Harwell, and one brother, Arlas Beckner, preceded him in death. He is survived by two daughters, Regina Wornat  and husband Garry of Reagan, and Christi Reed and husband Rocky of Robinson One Brother: Phillip Beckner of Burleson Two Sisters: Ruby Farley of Decatur and Betty Eixman of Arlington 6 Grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren, and one Great-Great Grandchild Memorials may be made to New Salem Baptist Church. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
