Sally Jean Tarver

Sally Jean Tarver, 81, of Houston, went to be with the Lord on Monday, Aug. 30, 2021, with her loving daughter, Jennifer Tarver at her side.  

Sally was born on Aug. 30, 1940, in Chicago, Ill. She married John Albert Tarver III in 1966.  

Survivors include her daughter, Jennifer Tarver; son-in-law, Daryle Stoneburner of Katy; three grandchildren, Zachary Stoneburner, Zane Stoneburner, and Joshua Stoneburner.  

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Albert Tarver III; her daughter, Jill (Tarver) Stoneburner; sister, Marilyn Antlsperger; and brother, Don Shrom.   

Sally thrived on being a mother and grandmother.  She was immersed in faith as a long time member of the Lutheran Church.  Sally was an avid movie watcher and card player and was loved by many friends.    

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, at First Lutheran Church in Rosebud.  Rev. Scott Murray will be officiating.  Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery in Rosebud.
