Shannon Lee Jones

Shannon Lee Jones, age 52, of Rosebud, passed from this life on Feb. 18, 2022.

Shannon was born Feb. 10, 1970, to Hubert Lee Jones and Sharon Frances Avery in Hannibal, Missouri. He graduated from Hannibal High School in 1988 and attended Mankato State University in Mankato, Minnesota. His career was in industrial management.

Shannon served proudly in the U.S. Army and reached the rank of Private Second Class. He was deployed to Desert Storm as a tactical satellite and microwave systems operator. Shannon was a lifetime member of the Hewitt VFW 6008, serving as Quartermaster.

He is preceded in death by his father, Hubert Lee Jones.

Shannon is survived by his wife, Dr. Karan Killgore; his mother, Sharon Jones; sisters, Julie Jones and Carman Jones Brown; brother, Brian Jones; several nieces and nephews; two stepdaughters; and grandson, Holden Noble Crowley.

A memorial service will be held at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at 3 p.m.
