Viola Woltman Scheef
Viola Woltman Scheef, 92, of Mineral Wells--formally of Marlin--passed away peacefully at Lakewell Place Assisted Living Facility on Thursday, July 11, 2019 in Mineral Wells, TX. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 15 at 11:00 a.m. at Adams Funeral Home in Marlin, Texas. Visitation will be one hour prior to services.
Viola was born November 21, 1926 in Mariln, TX to J.W. and Johanna (Lessman) Woltman. She married Herman Scheef Jr. on July 28, 1951 in Mariln. Viola retired from the VA hospital after 30 plus years. After she and Herman retired, they traveled the states and abroad when they weren’t raising cattle, ranching, and fishing. Viola loved football and was an avid Cowboys, Texas A&M, and TCU fan. After moving to Mineral Wells in 2018, she thoroughly enjoyed shopping, putting together puzzles, playing bingo and 42.
Viola is survived by her children, Renea Ballman and husband Wayne of Cleburne, Randall Scheef of Marlin, Ranelle Collinsworth and husband Enoch of Weatherford, and Robbie Gray of Temple; grandchildren Chelsea Nichols and Husband Corey, Andrea Cureton and husband Chris, Landon Ballman and wife Allie, Christopher Gray and wife Amanda, Jessica Barnhart and husband Ryan, Trisha Gray, and Hannah Morton and husband Chris; and 17 great grandchildren. Viola was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Herman, and her great grandson, Cannon.
