Willie Mae Krause

Willie Mae Krause, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2021, at a feisty age of 101 years and 10 months.   

Services will be held on Nov. 16, 2021, at 10 a.m. at Heights Funeral Home, 1317 Heights Blvd, Houston Texas. Interment will be held a Forest Park Cemetery, 12800 Westheimer Rd Houston Texas, following the service.

Willie Mae was born Dec. 18, 1919, to William and Rosa Malcik in Rosebud.  Willie, her mother, father and younger sister Evelyn moved to Houston in 1947. She met her husband Bill in 1951. Bill and Willie Mae were married for 49 years until his passing in 2000. Willie was an active member at First Methodist Church Houston, and was a charter member of the Quillian class. She was active in her children’s activities, including Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, and the PTA.

Willie Mae lived her life full of joy and positivity, she never met a person she didn’t like and seldom if ever complained. She was a proud mother and a great friend with a wonderful sense of humor and will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

In addition to her beloved husband and parents, she is predeceased by her sister, Evelyn Roberts. 

She is survived by her two children, Karen Sue and William Michael; and her constant companion, Baby, one of the many dogs she cared for through her years.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Houston Humane Society in her honor.
