Are You Excited About Heaven?

Are you excited about going to heaven?

If there was a bus going to heaven today, would you be ready to jump on board and go home? Many people claim to want to go to heaven, but very few want to go right now. Over and over I have seen the attitude, “I want to go to heaven, I just don’t want to go today.” My question is, why not?

What would be wrong with going to our heavenly home today? Is this world so great that the thought of leaving it for heaven is depressing?

Paul said, “No eye has seen, nor ear has heard, and no heart of man can imagine what God is preparing for those who love Him.” ( I Cor. 2:9)

Some may have heaven pictured as being dull and boring. But heaven will be a place of celebration. It will be a big welcome home party for all the children of God. Did you realize that it will be a place of rejoicing?

Heaven is going to be a place of great joy.

There will never be a bad day in heaven. John writes in Revelation 21:4 -

“And God shall wipe away all the tears from their eyes: and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”

Does the thought of heaven get you excited? I hope it does! If there was a bus going there today, would you want to be on it?
