Between a rock and a hard place

There once was two hunters that came across a huge bear. They both dropped their guns and ran for cover.

One of the men climbed up a tree while the other hid in a nearby cave. The bear was in no hurry to eat, so he sat down between the tree and the cave to reflect on his good fortune. Suddenly, for no apparent reason, the hunter in the cave come rushing out and almost ran into the waiting bear. He hesitated and dashed back into the cave.

The same thing happened again the second time. Now, when he did the same thing for the third time, his buddy, that is still up in the tree, frantically called out and said, “Woody, are you crazy? Stay in the cave until the bear leaves!” Woody, completely out of breath replied, “I can’t, there is another bear in the cave!”

Do you ever feel like in life, that you are caught between a rock and a hard place? With all of our struggles, our problems, our difficulties in life, it may leaving us overwhelmed. At such times, remember the encouraging messages that God has given us:

There hath no temptation taken you but such as common to man. But God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way of escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” (I Corinthians 10:13)

“Draw nigh to God and He will draw nigh unto you.” (James 4:8) Just remember the next time you are between “two bears” in life, just remember these messages that God has given to us.
