The Charlie Lubin Story
There once was a man by the name of Charlie Lubin that made a great cheesecake.
His cheesecake was so good, he decided to open up a store on the north side of Chicago. Things went real well. So well in fact he decided to open up another store on the south side of Chicago.
The second store didn’t do so well and eventually he lost both of his stores. After a few months Charlie Lubin decided to open up another store and it went well.
So he decided to open up another store with the same results. He lost both stores. Now he did this four different times.
But, on the fourth time he decided to sell only cheesecakes and he sold them for 79 cents each. He also decided to name the cheesecake after his new one year old daughter.
In his first year he grossed $400,000 and eventually it became at that time the largest bakery in the world. Oh, by the way. His daughters name? It was Sara Lee!
Like Carlie Lubin, maybe we need to follow God’s advice. Paul wrote in Galations 6:9: “Let us not be weary in well doing; for in due season we shall reap if we faint not.”
Whatever we try to accomplish in this life, with God on our side, who can be against us?
