Dart throwing
Sally told of an experience she had in a Bible class that she took in college. Professor Smith was known for his elaborate object lessons.
They knew that it was going to be a fun class that day when they walked into class and there was a big target on the wall and many darts on the table. Their instructions were to draw a picture of someone they did not like or someone that had made them angry.
One girl drew a picture of a girl that had stolen her boyfriend. One boy drew a picture of his little brother and Sally drew a picture of a former friend they she no longer liked.
One by one they lined up and began to throw their darts. Some threw with such force the target began to tear apart. Soon, the time had run out and the Professor began removing the target from the wall. Underneath was a picture of Jesus.
A hush fell over the room as each student viewed the mangled picture of Jesus. There were holes and jagged marks that covered the face and eyes of Jesus.
The Professor said only these words, “In as much as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethern, ye have done it unto me.” (Matthew 25:40).
No other words were necessary. The tear fill eyes of each student focused on the eyes of Jesus.
