Did you ever hold a grudge?

Grudges are common in our world today. They are simply those things you fail to forgive. You may hold grudges for the way your siblings treated  you when you were younger.

What about the grudges for the way mom and dad may have failed you at some point in your life? Some grudges can last for days or even decades and they can be very difficult to get rid of.

How should we deal with grudges? Jesus was BIG on forgiveness! He believed in it. He taught it and He practiced it. The greatest example of forgiveness is seen in Jesus Christ.

While being crucified, He said, “Father forgive them for they know not what they do.” (Luke 23:34) If Jesus was willing to forgive those who were murdering Him, are we so important that we cannot and do not have to forgive others? Of course not!

So get rid of any grudges you may have by forgiving others. It will help you personally in your relationship with the one you forgive. It will also please God and as a result, strengthen your relationship wit Him. Won’t you be a forgiver and not someone who holds a grudge?
