A certain preacher received a request in the mail one day. It read: “Will you please tell us all you know about Mr. A. What do you know about his character, his habits, and his financial responsibility?” The preacher’s reply was, “I found his name listed on the roll of this church when I came here two years ago. Neither he nor his family has attended services in those two years.

They say it is the only time they have to rest up for the coming week.
