Do you want the truth to be told?

A certain preacher recieved a request in the mail one day.

It read: ‘Will you please us all you know about Mr. A. Tell us about his character, his habits, and his financial resposibilities.”

The preachers reply was, “I founded his name listed on the roll of this church when I came here two years ago. Neither he nor his family has attended services here in the last two years. They say it is the only time they have to rest up for the coming week. Obviously, since they have not attended, I cannot tell you anything concerning his financial responsibility. This is all I know.”

Somehow word of the letter got back to Mr. A and boy, was he furious. He went to the preacher and told him just exactly what he thought of the situation.

Among the things he said was, “Any preacher worthy of the name should know that a mans relationship to the church and his financial contributions are of a confidential nature!” The preacher apoligized and said he would write a second letter.

This is what he wrote: “All I know of the gentlemen in question is of a confidential nature and he has explicitly requested that I not tell the truth.”

Do you want the truth to be told about you? Someday it will! “So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.” (Romans 14:12)
