Don’t wait

There was a story told of a young man that wanted the approval of a father to marry his daughter. The father agreed, but he said there would be a test.

The father said there would be 13 bulls released from a chute into a pen one by one and the young man would have to grab the tail of one of the bulls.

The young man agreed and the first bull was released. The bull looked to mean so he decided to wait for the second bull.

The second bull looked even meaner so he let him go by. The next bull was a Brahama bull so there was no was he was going to grab his tail.

The next bull was a longhorn and he didn’t want to get gored.

Finally the young man gets down to the last bull and much to his surprise, the bulls tail had been bobbed!

The moral of the story is that we have a limited amount of time on this earth. We don’t have time to procrastinate the important things in life and especially when it comes to our eternity.

In Psalm 90:10, it says, “So teach us to number our days so we may apply our hearts to wisdom.”

Friends, when it come to our souls, we can’t afford to wait for the thirteenth bull! We need to do whatever it is that we need to do to make sure we are right with God.
