Fabulous facts and figures

Did you ever stop and think about what all it took to take care of the children of Israel as they wandered in the wilderness for forty years? What was Moses going to do with them? They had to be fed and feeding 3 or 4 million people would require a lot of food. According to the Quarter-Master General in the Army, it is reported that Moses would have to have 1,500 tons of food each day.

Do you know what would have to bring that food each day, two freight trains, and each a mile long would be required? Oh yes, they would have to have water. If they only had enough to drink and wash a few dishes, it would take 11,000,000 gallons each day.

But, then another problem. Each time they camped at the end of the day, a campground, 2/3 the size of the state of Rhode Island was needed. That comprises an area of 25 miles wide and 130 miles long.

Think of it! This space, just for nightly camping. Do you think Moses figured all this out before he left! Most likely not.

You see, Moses believed in God and God was going to take care of these things for him. You and I have the same God. Why don’t we believe that God can do the same thing today? Do we think that our problems are so big? Do we not realize what God can do? When we team up with God, then your problems will be in His care. Peter says, in I Peter 5:7--”Casting all your cares upon Him for He cares for you.” Let God run your life. There are no problems that we have that are too big for Him. As the song says, “God will take care of you.” Just give it a try.
