Following instructions

Do you have trouble following instructions? Have you ever tried to put something together without following the instructions? It usually doesn’t work, does it? But let’s all be truthful. 

We have all tried it. Maybe you have insisted that your way was the best way to put whatever you were trying to put together and it still did not work. And again you found out whatever you did, your way did not work.

In much the same way, man wants to follow his own directions in life. But Jesus tells us in Matthew7:13-14. “Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction. and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life and those who find it are few.” 

God has given us instructions for life in His word. Can we not understand that God’s way is sure? Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life and no man comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6)
