Jonah and the Whale

In God’s creation, there is beauty everywhere. Just think about in this country where we live, where we travel, we see that there is beauty wherever we go.

In the month of August, everyone has experienced a very hot summer. But we also know that in a very short time we are going to experience the cooler weather in the fall.

This is all a part of God’s glorious creation. All of these things come from God. And yet sadly enough with all the proof that we have, some will still say there is no God. When we look in the Old Testament and combine all the things in the New Testament, we realize that there is truly a God and creator of this wonderful and beautiful universe.

I Corinthians 10:11- “Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.”

In a science class one day the teacher said there was no way a whale can swallow a man. The teacher said the whales throat was to small, so therefore the whale could not swallow a man.

A little girl in the class raised her hand and ask the teacher if she believed the story in the Old Testament of Jonah and the whale?

The teacher said, “No, I don’t believe that Jonah was swallowed by the whale and I told you why.”

The little girl replied, “Well, when I get to heaven, I am going to ask Jonah if he was really swallowed by a whale.”

The teacher then asked the little girl, “Well, what if Jonah didn’t make it to heaven?” The little girl then replied, “Then I guess you can ask him!” In Psalm 14:1, the Bible says, “A fool has said in his heart there is no God.”
