Letter to the Editor

I write to you today, not only as your Republican County chair, but as a proud 5th-generation Texan and 7th-generation American who deeply loves this land, its history, and its people.

I am serving my third term as your Republican Chair. Many of you know how this journey began. In 2021, the State Republican Party discovered that the Falls County Republican Party had become defunct due to a lack of leadership and organizational structure. A group of dedicated Falls County citizens stepped forward and requested that I be appointed to restore order, rebuild trust, and get our local Party functioning again. I was humbled when State Chairman Allen West appointed me to serve as County Chair, and we formed a team and immediately went to work.

Together, we rebuilt the Party from the ground up — recruiting new Precinct Chairs, restoring our organizational structure, and ensuring that Falls County once again had a strong, active, and reliable Republican presence. Since that time, our team has presided over a Presidential election, four state elections, and numerous trainings for Precinct Chairs and Election Workers. I have also attended many in‑person and online training sessions to stay current on Party rules, election law, and best practices. One of our most rewarding experiences has been the formation of coalitions with surrounding counties to protect the welfare of rural communities.

Over the years, I have had the privilege to serve the community in various capacities: fifteen years on the Marlin City Council, six years as Mayor; past member of the Palace Theater; past member of the Marlin Library Board; fifteen years on the Falls County Historical Commission.

Public service is not about titles. It is about responsibility. It is about stewardship. It is about standing firm in your word and working diligently for the people you represent.

We have come a long way, but there is still important work ahead. I am now asking for the opportunity to continue serving as your County Chair so we can build on the progress we’ve made and continue expanding and strengthening the Falls County Republican Party. With your support, we can keep growing our organization, increasing voter engagement and ensuring our county remains a strong voice for conservative values.

I believe Falls County deserves leadership that is dependable, transparent, and grounded in our shared values of faith, family, freedom, and fiscal responsibility.
