Thank you everyone

The Apostle Paul writes, “As we therefore have opportunity, let us do good to all men.” (Galations 6:10)

Have you ever been is a situation where the words thank you do not seen to be enough. I think that is where many of us are right now.

Right after the winter storm hit, not only in this area, but all around the state, we looked outside at all the damage. Our first question was, “How will we ever get all of this cleaned up?”

I visited with a man after the storm and he said that he was born and raised in central Texas and he said that he had never experienced anything like that before. But in a few days after the ice and snow had melted, here comes the Calvary. There were so many good men and women in our community and surrounding area that took their time, their equipment, their vehicles and trailers to help those that were in need of some assistance.

My seven-year-old grandson that lives in the Austin area was visiting that week end and as he was looking out the front door and all the work that was going on, he looked at his grandma and said, “Grandma, I wished I lived in Rosebud!”

Well, friends, I do live in Rosebud and so proud to do so. One of the many reasons is that all the wonderful people in this small central Texas town that care and watch out for one another.

Even though thank you may not be enough, let me say, on behalf of everyone that was helped, how much they appreciated it. It was appreciated more than you will ever know. Jesus said in the Sermon on the Mount, “Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16)

That is exactly what happened. Our Heavenly Father was glorified. Thank you!
