Too many engineers

One of the worst train disasters in history occurred in the El Toro Tunnel in Leon, Spain on Jan. 3, 1944.

More than 500 people died on this tragic day. The train was one of those long passenger trains with an engine at both ends. On this particular day, the train went into the El Toro Tunnel and the front engine stalled.

When the front engine stalled, the engineer on the back engine tried to back the train out of the tunnel. In the meantime the engineer on the front engine got the train started and tried to proceed through the tunnel.

In 1944 there were no cell phones or no way for the engineers to communicate so they did not know what was going on.

For several minutes they continued to pull in both directions at full steam. Hundreds of passengers on the train died in the tunnel because of carbon monoxide poisoning all because the train could not make up its mind which way to go.

Many people in this life struggle because they cannot make up their minds to which direction their lives ought to go. Jesus tells us to make up our minds. Choose one way or the other, because it cannot be both ways.

“No man can serve two masters. For either he will hate the one and love the other or else he will hold to the one and despise the other. Ye cannot serve both God and mammon.” (Matthew 6:24)

We either live a life for God or we will live a live of sin. Stop letting Satan pull you in both directions. Make up your mind which way you want to go.
