Wasting life

Morris Siegel was a homeless man that lived in Los Angeles, Calif.

He wasn’t any different than the rest of the homeless people. He just drifted about from day to day with no real purpose in life. But there was something different about Morris.

Maybe it was the three bank accounts that he owned that totaled $207,421.

When Morris’ dad died he inherited all of his dad’s money. When the time came he did not go to the bank to claim it. So the money was deposited into an account that was set up for him.

His realitives rented an apartment for him but he never lived there.

Morris died on Dec. 14, 1989, with three dollars in his pocket and an untouched fortune in the bank. Now everyone would would say, “How crazy!”

But let’s try to figure this one out. Some two thousand years ago our Heavenly Father ratified His will and left all His children eternal wealth, life, peace and victory.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)

To this day, many have never claimed this windfall and some refuse to spend any of it. As Christians, those that have been obedient unto God and have been faithful to Him have heaven as their destination.

“In my Father’s house there are many mansions. If it were not so I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you and if I go and prepare a place for you, then I will come again and recieve you unto myself that where I am there you may be also.” (John 14:2-3)

Yet the majority of people refuse to claim their inheritance. So, what gives us the right to criticize poor Morris Siegel?
