What time is it right now

Baseball greats, Yogi Berra and Roger Clemens were playing in a celebrity golf tournament. As they approached the first few holes, Clemens turned to Yogi and asked, “What time is it?” Yogi looked at his watch and asked, “Do you mean right now?” Yogi’s question should compel us to think about time. Time is swiftly passing by.

A farmer was awakened one night at 2 a.m. by the church bells that had gone crazy. Instead of ringing twice to denote the hour they went on and on.

After the 50th ring, the farmer nudged his wife and said, “We had better get up, it’s later than it has ever been before!”

Many seem to tune out what James tells us in James 4:14. “For what is your life? It is even as a vapor that appears for a little time then vanishes away.” What time is it right now is a good question. The truth for each of is that it is later than it has ever been.

Our view and use of time is critical. Right now is the time to be happier, to serve others, to read the Bible through, to spend some time with our family and for some, to start going to church. Paul tells us in II Corinthians 6:2, that “Now is the accepted time.” the anwer is, that it is later than it has ever been before.
