What is your price?
Several years ago some drug dealers went to the captain of an oil tanker that regularly made trips from South America to Los Angeles.
The drug dealers offered the captain $10,000 if he would bring a load of cocaine on his next trip. The captain refused. They came back the next day and offered him $50,000 in cash for just one load and again he refused.
On the third day the drug dealers came back and offered him $150,000 if he would make just one trip for them. This time he told the drug dealers that he would think about it, but instead he called the FBI. The FBI put together a sting operation and caught the drug runners.
The FBI was able to seize the shipment of drugs, $340,000 in cash and a list of buyers in the Los Angeles area. Now after the arrest was made the curiosity of one of the federal agents got the best of him.
He went to the captain of the ship and asked, “Why did you wait until they offered you $150,000 before you called us?” He said, “They were getting pretty close to my price and I was scared!”
What is your price to sin? You need to know. Because you can rest assured that Satan knows.
“Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth He any man. But every man is tempted when he is drawn away of his own lust and enticed. Then when lust hath concieved it brineth forth sin and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.” (James 1:13-15)
Satan knows your price and we need to be prepared for the price that Satan is willing to offer. Every day that we live, Satan offers us a price. What is your price?
