TEMPLE - Gold City Quartet, one of the most popular groups in the history of gospel music, will be appearing in Temple. The event will be held Friday, May 8, at Taylor’s Valley Baptist Church in Temple, beginning at 7pm. Crimson River Ministries is event sponsor.

The Falls County Democratic Party held a Candidates Meet & Greet on Saturday at the Lucille William’s Pavilion in Marlin. The candidates that attended and spoke to the gathering included Kenneth Michaels (County Commissioner Pct. 4), Albert Hunter (Texas House of Representatives District 13), LaTonja Mc- Cullough-Taplin (Justice of the Peace Pct. 2) and Sonia Ponce (Marlin ISD School Board - At Large).
