Cougars keep kicking, Girls in first place

The Rosebud-Lott Lady Cougars Varsity team continues to crush their way through the basketball season. The Lady Cougs are currently first in district with an 8-2 record as well as a season record of 12-7 They faced the Rapport Ravens (Waco Meyer) on Jan. 26, where the girls came out 58-53. They’re set to face Chilton and Bosqueville this week before continuing on to the next round of the tournament.

The Rosebud-Lott Cougars’ backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their boy’s basketball squad bounce the host Waco Meyer Ravens 54-30 in a league rematch. With the win, Rosebud-Lott upgrades its record to 15-7 on the season and 5-3 in district.  Nathan Truesdale had 16 points and John Reyna had 10, points, 10 rebounds, and 5 steals.

The Cougars travelled to play the Chilton Pirates on Tuesday, Feb 2. Scores will be available next week.
