2017 Rosebud-Lott Varsity Cougars

For Coach Brad Ballard, 2017 is the beginning of a new year and like most coaches including myself you turn over a new leaf. You erase the memories of what happened last year and you don’t look ahead to next season when everyone is realigned again. You dwell in the moment and the moment at the present is the 2017-18 football season.

The Rosebud Lott Cougars will out to have a bounce back season from the disappointing journey that was 2016-17. They return enough talent to become a factor in a tough district that will feature State ranked Normangee among others. Thorndale, Thrall, Moody, and even Holland are all expected to be improved this upcoming season so the Cougars know that nothing is a given.

To make the playoffs this season they will have to leap frog at least two of those teams. It can be done and that is one thing that works in the Coogs favor.
