Athletic Boosters hit the course for the cause

The Rosebud-Lott Athletic Booster Club held a golf tournament fundraiser on Saturday, June 2 at Sammons Golf Course in Temple.

The tournament began at one o’clock with a shotgun start where each team leaves the clubhouse at the same time to tee off from an assigned box.

Teams played a fourman scramble. For the non-golfer readers, this is where each team member tees off from the box and the best ball is chosen to play from. This happens for each hit until the ball makes it into the hole where the number of hits is totaled up to make the score for that hole. This will continue until every hole is played.
