Cougars bring home area track title

The Rosebud-Lott varsity boys track and field team ran their way to being area champions on April 13. 

The team brought home the highest scores, complete with many medaling athletes. 

Jamarquis Johnson took second place in both the 100- and 200-meter dash, brought home the bronze in the high jump, took fifth in the triple jump, and was on the third place 4x100 relay team with Jordan Landrum, Carlos Saucedo, and Nathan Truesdale.

Landrum brought home the gold in the 300-meter hurdles, and was also on the fourth place 4x200-relay team with Saucedo, Moses Fox, and Breon Lewis. 

Truesdale took second in the 400-meter dash along with his relay team runs, while Saucedo contributed to every placing relay team.

Jonathan Adamez was the first place finisher in the 800-meter dash, sixth in the high jump, and was on the second place 4x400 relay team with Saucedo, Fox, Adamez, and Truesdale. Jason Allison took third place in the 800-meter dash.

In the field events, the team fared just as well. Easton Fulton brought home the gold in the discus competition, while his teammates John Reyna and Noah Kahlig took fifth and sixth place in the shot put competition.
