Cougars fall to Wortham
The Rosebud-Lott Cougars football team traveled to take on the Wortham Bulldogs on Friday. The Cougars fell to Wortham, losing 36-14.
The Bulldogs overpowered Rosebud-Lott in the first half, shutting them out 20-0. The Cougars struck first in the second half with a 30-yard touchdown pass from Pryce Rabroker to Carson Kahlig to make the score 20-7. Wortham responded with 16 unanswered points to make the score 36-7. The Cougars scored again in the fourth quarter with a 38-yard touchdown pass from Pryce Rabroker to Jamarquis Johnson to make the score 36-14. However, it was not enough as that would be the final score.
Pryce Rabroker played well, throwing for 179 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions. Carson Kahlig had a good game, catching two passes for 74 yards and a touchdown. Jamarquis Johnson also had a great game, catching eight passes for 94 yards and a touchdown. The Cougar defense still had a good game, holding the Bulldogs to only 28 total passing yards.
Up next for Rosebud-Lott, they will travel to take on the Goldthwaite Eagles. The game will be on Friday and kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
