Cougars get big win over Bosqueville
The Rosebud-Lott Cougars clinched a playoff spot on Friday night with a win over Bosqueville. The Cougars were victorious, soundly defeating Bosqueville 45-21.
Rosebud-Lott started the game strong, going into halftime leading 21-7. The Cougars extended their lead in the third quarter with a 24-yard field goal from Cody Avant to make the score 24-7. The Bulldogs answered back with a 20-yard touchdown run to make the score 24-14.
Bosqueville started the scoring in the fourth quarter with a 3-yard touchdown run to close the gap to 24-21. Rosebud-Lott answered right back with a 98-yard touchdown on a kickoff return from Jamarquis Johnson to take a 31-21 lead.
The Cougars continued to pull away with an additional 14 unanswered points on a 26-yard touchdown pass from Pryce Rabroker to Carson Kahlig and a 4-yard touchdown run from DeeJayy Hicks to win the game 45-21.
Pryce Rabroker played a great game, throwing for 200 yards and three touchdowns. Carson Kahlig was also very productive, catching two passes for 35 yards and two touchdowns. DeeJayy Hicks was terrific, rushing for 106 yards and a touchdown. Jamarquis Johnson was unstoppable, catching two passes for 74 yards and a touchdown along with returning a kickoff for a touchdown.
With this victory, the Cougars have a record of 3-4 and a district record of 3-1.
Up next for Rosebud-Lott, they will travel to take on the Valley Mills Eagles. The game will be on Friday and kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
