Cougars looking for successful 2021 season

The Rosebud-Lott Cougars football team is coming off a season where they finished next to last in the district standings with just one district win. This season the Cougars hope to not just finish the season with a winning record, but with a postseason appearance. 

They will start off the season with a home game against the Leon Cougars on Aug. 27 at 7:30 p.m. They will kick off the new month with a home game against the Wortham Bulldogs on Sept. 3 at 7:30 p.m.

On Sept. 10, they will head out to Weatherford for a neutral site game against the Stamford Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. The Cougars will then go on the road to take on the Granger Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 17. On Sept. 24, they will host the Thrall Tigers for their first district game of the season at 7:30 p.m. On Oct. 1, the Cougars will start off the month on the road against the Hearne Eagles at 7:30 p.m. for their first road district game of the season.

The Cougars will then host the Thorndale Bulldogs on Oct. 8 at 7:30 p.m. They will then go on the road to face off against the Moody Bearkats 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 15. They will come back home on Oct. 22 to take on the Holland Hornets 7:30 p.m. The Cougars will finally be getting a breather as they will have their bye week on Oct. 29. They will finish off the regular season on the road against the Bruceville-Eddy Eagles on Nov. 5 7:30 p.m.
